Spider-Man 2099 Costume

spider 2099 Costume

As the Spider-Man in the year of 2099, Miguel O' Hara wore a costume similar to Spider-Man's Costume, but with a more skull-like spider and bluer throughout. This Spider-Man 2099 costume was made of Unstable Molecule Fabric (similar to the Fantastic Four Costumes) and also featured a cape made of a web-like material and a different skull-like mask. The 2099 Spider-Man is also the only playable character who is not an alternate universed Peter Parker in Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions.

Spider-Man 2099 was the concept of Peter David and Rick Leonardi back in 1992, much of the fame from the 2099 Spidey Suit is its monstrous likeness. It also appears to carry traits of the evolved Venom look, like claws, spinnerets on the backs of the hands, and the jagged, thorny fins on the forearms and legs. One unique trait of this uniform was the web-based air-foils that streamed from O'Hara's underarms to his back; this may have been idealized from the Spider-Man Costume of the 60's onward who had webbing under his arms (although they eventually disappeared). Even though these additions allowed the hero to glide through the air, they were an accidental part of the costume which Miguel received through affiliation with Thorites, a group of radicals that believed Thor would eventually return to their time.

The New and The Classic Scarlet Spider-Man Costumes Comparison

The Scarlet Spider Ben Reilly costume (the classic with the blue sleeveless hoodie)has always been one of the most popular Spider-Man costumes because of its fun and quirky design.

Although it was much-maligned and critically-bashed for years afterward, many 1990′s comic book readers have developed fond memories of the Clone Saga. Almost unanimously, readers will agree that the high point of this era of Spider-Man was the introduction of Ben Reilly, Peter Parker’s clone who would temporarily take his mantle as the Sensational Spider-Man. Ben Reilly’s following was strong enough that despite his death in the comics over a decade ago, fans still clamor for his return and demand new toys and statues of the character. As you may have guessed, I love this character and I love his design.

Scarlet Spiderman Ben Reilly Costume

The new Scarlet Spider costume was announced for The Amazing Spider-Man Costumes. For those who do not know the history, the Scarlet Spider was the evil clone of Peter Parker who was created by the Jackal to fight and defeat Spider-Man but was eventually reformed. The official statement says: “In Spider-Man comics, a reformed evil clone of Peter Parker now patrols the streets of Houston, Texas. This is the costume he wears.”

The suit is much like a divers suit, zips up. Diver's suits are skin tight to allow your body to stay warm. The reason is because Scarlet Spider and Spider-Man are 2 totally different people, Kaine, the newest Scarlet is a clone of Peter. And the mask and feet? They also again act like a Diver Suit. There are special skin tight boots and masks for one to wear. It's easy to apply the physics of a suit if you think about it.

So which one is your favorate, the Classic Scalet Spider-Man Costume or with hoodie or the New Scarlet Zip up Suit?

Spider-Man Movie Costumes Comparison

Amazing Spiderman Movie Costume
The Amazing Spider-Man Poster

The most recent appearance of Spider-Man on film is in The Amazing Spider-Man, directed by Marc Webb, starring Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. A high resolution photograph of the costume shows that the texture does not appear smooth; in fact, it looks to be almost scaly.

The distinction between the latest Amazing Spider-Man movie costume and the costume we saw before is that the previous red and blue Spider-Man costume also looked more like webbing and less scaly, the logo at the center of Spidey's chest is also bigger, wider, and stands out more than it does in the latest movie costume. The back of the costume also features a very large, red spider logo.

However the most interesting thing about Spider-Man's costume is that no matter how many changes are made to the costume's design, it has managed to always maintain its iconic appearance. Never once have we looked at a version of a Spider-Man costume and thought that it was someone else's costume.

Spider-Man Best Alternate Costumes

Which is your favorite alternative Spider-Man costume; suits worn by Peter Parker do not count?
This really makes you realize how many there have been.

Apart from the classic Spandex Spiderman Suit, the black and white suit, I like the Iron Spider suit and the Tron stealth suit, but if I came back a week or two from now I'd probably choose something else. I loved the black suit, but hated it a lot too as more often than not it was blue. Same with the 2099 suit, it's supposed to be black and would look a lot better. Don't worry, I get why it happens, it happened to the original after all, it's just a shame it can spoil the look at times.

Alternate Costumes in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions features four dimensions (Amazing, Noir, 2099, and Ultimate), each representing a different interpretation of the Spider-Man character found in Marvel comics. This represents a serious departure for Spider-Man games, as almost all of them have been set exclusively in the main "universe" of Marvel comics. The game features a first-person mode in which you have to use the sticks to dodge and punch your foes. This mode only occurs in boss fights.
All Alternate costumes in the game are available to unlock in the game's Web of Destiny except the Cosmic Spider-Man costumes which are available as downloadable content.

Venom Is Getting His Own Movie Without Spider-Man

Producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach dished that the alien costume symbiote venom will get his own movie while discussing The Amazing Spider-Man. Although it will share the same universe created by the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, yet the two characters won't share the screen. Tolmach explained to the press that he is trying to get all these worlds live together in peace someday and make sense with one another.

This approach could potentially break a lot of fans' hearts, but at least they want to make a "huge amazing movie" about the beloved character.

The movie is a story of Eddie Brock. The producers want it to be as close to the comics as possible, especially in Eddie Brock’s story. But again, pseudo-science is becoming science. All these tidbits about webs, artificial webs, is a huge industry now. Spiderwebs have unique qualities that will be huge for communications, fibers, and so forth. At this point, fans will probably take any incarnation of Venom other than the version they saw in Spider-Man 3.

However, it will be pretty cool to see Hollywood make a big budget blockbuster focusing on a character that is typically portrayed as a villain instead of a hero, don't U think?
